Stockbridge Inn

A decent room for a decent price, in a good area. The staff were okay and the room was clean. There are lots of nearby stores, including Kroger, Walmart, McDonald’s, other fast-food spots, and even a Dollar Tree.

Cheap, no frills, and pretty quiet, which works well for me as a shift worker. I wake up feeling rested and ready to go. The weekly rates save a lot. There’s no breakfast, and they clean the room twice a week, but you can get towels anytime. I bring my own coffee maker, a small Keurig, which is fine.

The hotel is in a handy spot for food and shopping, and the housekeeping lady promptly kept me supplied with tissue and towels. The first room, though, was filthy, with roaches all over: in the tub, a dead one in the toilet, and more inside the mini fridge and microwave. When I turned on the faucet, yellow water ran for about 15 seconds before clearing. I reported it at the front desk, and the clerk immediately moved me, which I appreciated. The next room had no insects, but the bathtub could’ve been cleaner and the hardwood floor needed sweeping. I kept my shoes on the whole stay and didn’t feel comfortable walking around in socks. I’d only suggest staying here if you’re on a serious budget and won’t be there long.

It’s inexpensive, but there’s not much to it. Very basic.
