Motel 6 Stockton, CA - East

I've stayed at four Motel 6 locations, and this was the worst by far. They raised the rate because I arrived late, from the usual $65 a night to $100. The room was the shittiest I've ever stayed in. I'm totally disappointed with Motel 6.

The room was okay, but the walls were a bit dirty and there was hair inside the refrigerator and freezer. The showers suck, so I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I went to shower in the morning and found hair on the shower wall. The towels they gave us had brown stains, which I've never come across before. My husband and I arrived at midnight while traveling, and I picked Motel 6 thinking it would at least be clean and safe. It wasn't. We travel a lot and have a decent budget. I'm leaving the photos here to show what I mean.

I asked for a non-smoking room, but the one they gave me had a no-smoking sign on the door and still smelled of smoke. It also had German roaches. I was disgusted and noticed them after only 10-15 minutes. When I asked for a refund, they returned just the $20 deposit and refused the rest. I'm posting this so people know they may try to pass off a smoking room by switching the doorknob to one that says no smoking, and the room had roaches too.
