You get what you pay for with the rooms, but Anita at the front desk was great. She did her best to accommodate everyone staying there. Her customer service was the best I’ve had in a while, and I really appreciate people like her.

We were in town for something nearby, so the location worked out, and we only stayed one night. The rooms were okay, but our heater didn’t work. Anita was very helpful and found us a better room. My main complaint was getting more towels. I had to take the dirty ones to the laundry room, then the maid inspected each one and questioned whether it was really dirty. I said I just needed clean towels, and she eventually got them. That all felt unnecessary. I understand they have families staying by the week or month, but we were only there overnight.

I found two big black spiders in the bedding and was itchy all night. I don’t know whether the bedding was cleaned properly or even cleaned after each use, but the next morning I had several bites on my legs and arms. I’d planned to stay longer than one night, but left because of this. There are cheaper, cleaner options in Stockton, so keep looking.

The rooms are clean and freshly remodeled, with comfortable beds and pillows and high-res AmazonFireTV-things. Check-in was super easy, and the associates were friendly and knowledgeable. The pool looked neat and clean too. Don’t let the location and surroundings put you off: double gates and visible rowing security guard(s) 24/7 helped me feel secure. Best bang for your buck.
