The spa was a highlight for us, especially the brine room, and everyone working there was so friendly. The women’s locker rooms have showers and a sauna, too. We also appreciated having a restaurant right in the hotel since it was freezing outside. My partner and I stayed at The Reeds at Shelter Haven for a weekend away, and it felt really restful. Our suite was spacious, spotless, and more up to date than other hotels down the shore. I’d happily suggest it for a weekend getaway.

We had such a good time over Super Bowl weekend. The food was delicious, and everyone on staff was incredibly friendly. I also had a massage with Tracy at the spa, and she was amazing. The room did get pretty warm, so we had to open a window a bit. Still, we’d come back.

The Thanksgiving dinner was a real letdown, especially for the price. The buffet food was below par for The Reeds, the meats at the carving stations were barely warm, and empty sides took too long to be replaced. The desserts were tiny sample-size portions, and the Pepperidge Farm crackers were just laid out as they were. The ballroom was freezing on an already cold, windy day, and the setup felt basic. At check-in, the hostesses seemed to be having trouble and there was confusion about seating. Some staff wore hats that looked like kids' restaurant coloring hats. My family and I were very disappointed, and we won't do this event here again. Selling Reeds merch right by the lobby concierge also looked tacky for a 'high end' place. I had booked a table for six in October at $75 per person, with family coming in from Fla. A week before Thanksgiving, someone called to say my time had been cancelled because of an OpenTable issue. I was upset, but managed to get a 12:30 reservation. The 'manager' who called wasn't helpful. A few days later, another worker called to confirm and was pleasant, and I was able to move to 2:30 when a spot opened. I was excited to have Thanksgiving dinner at The Reeds with my family, but it didn't work out. I first stayed at The Reeds in 2015 while my house was being remodeled, and was lucky to get the beautiful Skye suite. I'm local and have enjoyed many brunches, dinners, and bar stops there, which makes this hard to write.

The town is awesome, with everything you need within walking distance. There's a great crepe place right across the street, and I think it has the best breakfast in the world. The beach is just down the street, which is amazing. The hotel also has a cool pool and hot tub, though they're not very big. I really liked the restaurant, too. Very good hotel, definitely recommend.

We started with a tour from Brian Liebesman, the event coordinator, who was getting ready for a winter wedding that evening. The venue looked stunning, and I’ll definitely be back. My friend and I had a wonderful dinner at The Reeds. The holiday decorations made it feel cozy and elegant. Service was exceptional, and the food was delicious: I had tuna tartare to start, then the day's special, flounder stuffed with crabmeat and served with mushroom risotto. The next day was for relaxing at the Salt Spa. We unwound in the relaxation room with hot tea and tasty treats, then I had a very soothing 80-minute massage. We finished in the brine room, then took a refreshing shower and used the sauna in the women’s locker room. It was a great way to wrap up the visit.
