This quaint A-frame on the water at Burnt Cove on Deer Isle is a great fit if you enjoy vacationing in Maine. It's rustic, with no electricity, but there is a gas stove and gas lanterns on the walls. The setting is private, and there's a large deck. It sleeps up to 8, though you'll need to bring an inflatable queen bed or a couple of sleeping bags.

You'll need to rough it a little, with gas lights, a stove and a fridge, but I don't think you'll regret it. The water is barely a stone's throw away, and the spot is perfectly placed for the best sunsets. This is one of my favorite Stonington locations. It really rejuvenates body and soul.

A cozy, quaint little cottage right on the bay, with lovely views and great sunsets. There's no electricity, so you rough it a bit. It feels like camping, only without the tent.
