Budget Motor Inn - Stony Point

Parking was a plus, but the room was rough. It reeked of cigarettes, the blanket had burn holes, and the mattress was long past its time. There was even a plastic bag wrapped around the shower head to deal with a leak.

I was really disappointed. I’d paid for a superior non-smoking room, but the one I got was dirty and smelled of smoke. When I went to the office about it, the staff member wouldn’t apologize or give me the room I’d booked, and kept insisting it wasn’t a smoking room. It was freezing outside, but I still had to open the window.

I came alone with my dog, and the manager was courteous and let me stay even though I was under 21. There’s a deli right across the street and a few buses nearby. Everything was great, except for a lingering smoky smell in the room.

Dirty, unsafe, disgusting motel. The shower didn’t work, there was no closet, chair, or lamp, and the AC unit looked about 20 years old. The room was filthy, the walls were paper thin, and the bed felt like a $20 mattress. Zero stars. This place should be condemned.
