The staff made this stay special. They were warm and clearly cared about looking after guests. When a blizzard forced us to end our trip early, they refunded one night without us even asking. That thoughtfulness says a lot, and we’ve already recommended the lodge to friends and family. We’ll definitely return. Our room felt cozy, was comfortable, and had everything we needed. Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge is on Mountain Road, close to the village, the slopes, and good restaurants, so it worked perfectly as a Stowe base.

We found it easy to explore from here: the lodge is right on Mountain Road, close to downtown Stowe and restaurants, and only minutes from the village. The trails at Cady Hill are just steps away, and the mountain is convenient to reach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with good amenities. The property has a relaxed, modern lodge feel, and the central location made for a great stay.

The lodge itself is beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable overall, with a mini fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee in the room. Reception was friendly and very helpful. The location is good, too. Still, for two of our three nights a huge bus was parked beside our room with its engine idling nonstop for over 24 hours. We asked if it could be turned off and were told that wasn’t an option. This is a motel, not a bus station. We came to relax and sleep well before our next adventure. Also, the shower water wasn’t hot.

The lounge is really nice, and the front desk staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The location is convenient, very close to the village and just down the road from the mountain, so getting to restaurants was easy, especially with reservations. Our room was small but laid out efficiently. It did feel like a renovated motel, as others have said, though it worked for us. I liked the water kettles. The bathroom was fine apart from the shower, which has no door so water splashes out. The faucet was messed up and took some experimenting to figure out the temperatures. We also had no hot water for a day, but the staff were helpful with that. I’d stay again, though I wouldn’t call it a top hotel pick in the Stowe area.

The rooms were dark with hardly any lighting and no bathroom shelves. The walls were plywood, and the place felt like a trailer. In the women’s locker room every toilet was clogged, the pool area was disgusting, and there were no pool towels. The small selection of machines in the “fitness center” had no spray for wiping them down. This was one of the dirtiest places I’ve stayed, a two-star motel at best. For what a room costs, it should be a thousand times better. I won’t stay here or at any property they own again. I’m editing this after seeing the reply. Sure, rates vary, but an average of $855 a night including taxes and fees, which is what I paid for one of my rooms, is insane. Whoever sets the prices should visit and see what’s going on. This was the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
