Ramada by Wyndham Strasburg/Shenandoah Valley

Breakfast wasn’t much good, though there are a couple of good places just down the road. The property was a great value, and the room was great: very clean, with a super comfortable bed.

Breakfast was good, especially the tasty sausage and eggs that weren’t watery. They have a machine for fresh pancakes, though there aren’t make-your-own waffles. The hotel is pet-friendly for an extra $20, and the room has the expected basics, including an iron, blow dryer, small fridge, TV, and USB plugs in all the lamps. Everything felt clean and fresh, with new towels and linens and a nice, clean bathroom. For the money, I’d easily recommend this place as one of the best 4-star hotels you’ll stay at.

I’ve stayed in hotels across Europe, the Middle East, and Central America, and this was the best overall value I’ve found. Instead of paying $200 to $400 a night for a place nearer Skyline Drive, this is a much better option and leaves you extra money for the rest of your trip. We stayed on October 27th, planning to visit Skyline Drive the next day, and it was beautiful. The front desk lady in the morning and the gentleman at night were both very nice. The room, hotel public areas, and grounds were clean and well kept. The attached Hispanic restaurant was very good, and all the staff were friendly. Gratefully, Joel Brotman

Our original overnight stop called to say they couldn’t accommodate us, so we ended up at this Ramada. The late-night front desk staff were courteous, and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. For the price, the hotel was beyond what I expected, especially after the nasty reviews of other “off I 81” places. Highly recommend it. I’ll stay again on my next trip through.
