The place felt like a complete dump, and I didn’t feel safe there as a woman traveling alone. My key failed twice, so the man who checked me in came over with a master key and let himself into my room. He wasn’t friendly, and looked like he hadn’t showered in two weeks. He seemed like he might have a hangover. I called Wyndham to say I couldn’t believe they’d put their name on a place like that. I still feel like I need a shower with a scrubber. Don’t stay here.

I got a bed and a room, but no TV, fridge, or microwave, and nobody mentioned that at check-in. When I asked the person I assume was the owner, he just said that’s how it is. He noticed my tablet and suggested I watch TV on it, but the hotel Wi-Fi was too poor for that. Biggest dump I’ve ever seen.

The only good part was the nice guy at the desk. The rooms badly need remodeling, and the beds are well past due for replacement. Breakfast was advertised, but there wasn’t any. Would I stay again? No. I’ll sleep in my truck.

The outside looked rough, and it seemed like there were long-term residents there. I tried to get a room, but the doors were locked and nobody answered the phone.

We only needed somewhere shaded from noon until about six while waiting for our recovery team after breaking down. The room was clean and roomy, but the A/C didn’t work, so we poured water over the coils to make it bearable. We paid full price for a room with no A/C or amenities, even though we were only there a few hours. I wasn’t expecting anything, but a discount offer would’ve been nice.
