Relax Inn

A month ago, I stayed here and caught the manager going through my things after letting herself into my room while I was out. When I asked what she was doing, she got defensive and called it a 'routinecheck.' I felt completely violated. If you stay here, use the deadbolt. She seems to have boundary issues.

There are laundry and cooking facilities, and security cameras outside for safety. Very comfortable. I'd definitely recommend it again!

The staff and owners are really friendly, and I enjoyed staying here. I liked the place so much that, if I could, I'd ask them for work here as long as I could stay in one of their rooms. I'd gladly help with whatever they need.

My sister and I were in Streator for a family funeral and had booked this motel online after seeing some positive reviews. When we arrived, we saw the room and said we couldn't stay, so we went somewhere else. They refused to refund the advance payment for two nights, over $200. The place looked run down: the stairs were rotted, the beds were rollaway cots rather than real beds, and the curtains were falling down. It seemed like somewhere you'd avoid at all costs. Family and friends from Streator had warned us the motel had a bad reputation. The manager's response proves my point exactly. They charged a pet fee for a dog that never even got out of the car. We didn't stay because of concerns about safety, comfort, and cleanliness.
