Holiday Inn Express Stuart by IHG

The team is what made me feel taken care of here. Hiren and Henry were welcoming and professional, and when I learned at the last minute that I needed an extra night, they quickly made it happen despite limited availability. They treated me like a priority and took the stress out of it. I travel from Miami to Stuart often for work and usually choose another IHG property closer to my office. This time I tried somewhere different, and the hotel was very clean, modern, and well kept from the moment I walked in. I plan to stay at this IHG property whenever I'm in Stuart now. It's rare to find a hotel this well run, with people who care. Hiren and Henry, thanks again. I appreciate you both.

The whole place had a strange smell, from the lobby to the room and even the beds. After unpacking, I went to shower before bed and found a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower bar. I would've left if my kids weren't already asleep. A large party nearby talked loudly from 9:30 to 10 pm and kept us awake. That's not necessarily the hotel's fault, but since we were on the first floor next to the lobby, I hoped the front desk would ask them to quiet down. I don't recommend it.

I picked this hotel for its location because I had a job in Jupiter, FL, and regret not paying a bit more for somewhere better. They renewed my room at the full rate of $250 a night, which just doesn't match the quality. The toilets barely flush, there were fewer towels than I usually get at an IHG, and the room had roaches. Yes, roaches. I've stayed in hotels about 200 nights a year, mostly IHG, and this may well be the worst IHG I've stayed at anywhere in the country. It's dated and low-grade, more like a Best Western than an IHG. There's no pantry like most IHGs, just a terrible selection of expensive, cash-only items that look like they came from a food shelf. At least there's a Dunkin across the parking lot for coffee. This place is just ick. P.S. more roaches.

I've stayed at this location several times and generally had good experiences. On my recent visits, though, there was a strong mothball smell that made it hard to relax. I brought it up as helpful feedback, not to start a conflict, so I was surprised and disappointed when my upcoming reservation was cancelled soon afterward. I'd like to know why that happened and whether we can work it out. I value our past interactions and hope we can stay on good terms. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing back. Hetal Patel
