Sturbridge Plaza Hotel

The truck stop made it noisy, the walls let every sound through, and the elevator needs replacing. Our room was barely bigger than the lumpy bed, and there was no room service. In the morning, the whole hotel had one pot of coffee and cardboard-like waffles. Staff seemed clueless about customer service. It’s hard to find, which is probably a good thing. Never again.

I’d already paid for a week here when I found out they wouldn’t accept my two service dogs, who are always with me. The website said they did. At the front desk, the woman screamed at me that they didn’t take service animals. She seemed more interested in spending time with her friends than helping a customer, and her tank top and pajama pants looked very unprofessional. Please don’t stay here. It’s a horrible hotel, and I don’t know how it’s still open.

The elevator was loud and shaky, the drink machine was broken, even at the water spout, and the fridge in the room was dirty. Breakfast was just bread with no toaster and Cheerios. The sheets were dirty, the walls stained, and the lighting dingy. Everything felt very used. If all you need is a mattress for the night, it might do, but I wouldn’t stay somewhere like this again for more than $30 a night.

The room was disgusting, with dirty towels and hair all over the sheets. The staff were so rude that they treated me like they were taking out the trash. I wanted to file a formal complaint, but the woman at the desk who said she was a manager wouldn’t give me her name or anyone else’s. How are these people still employed, and how is this place still standing?
