I was greeted warmly by the front desk associate at check-in, and I really wanted the stay to go well. But the room was a nightmare. I paid for two nights, but after finding two roaches crawling on the bathroom counter with my toiletries, I packed up and left the next morning. Getting comfortable enough to sleep had already been difficult. The mattress was so hard it felt like the floor, and the thermostat was bright enough to light the whole room. Covering it with a towel didn't block the glow. The safety latch was also coming away from the wall. The bathroom door looked as though previous guests had used it to wedge the entry door shut, so the latch issue didn't seem new. With the maintenance problems, bad sleep, and cleanliness concerns, I can't recommend this place. Management needs to address it.
Room service was a highlight. I ordered buffalo chicken wings with celery and carrots, plus a house salad, and it was all prepared perfectly and delivered quickly. I'm here for our annual Managers’ Meeting, and from check-in through dinner the hotel has exceeded expectations. The front desk team were warm, professional, and genuinely helpful right away. Recent upgrades are noticeable too. The room feels fresh, thoughtfully updated, and immaculately clean, and it's comfortable to relax in after a busy morning and a long drive.
Several nights, the rooms next door were noisy well past 10 PM. I had to call the front desk more than once about it. They eventually took action, which I appreciate, but repeated calls disrupted my rest and shouldn't have been necessary. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a week. The stay itself was comfortable, but Cindy consistently made mornings unpleasant. Her manner felt unwelcoming and dismissive, she rarely smiled, and her tone often seemed rude, as if helping guests was a burden. I know anyone can have an off day, but this happened throughout my stay. I hope management takes the service and the need for a quiet, comfortable environment seriously. These things have a real effect on a guest's experience. Thank you.
The room was clean, the AC cold, and the shower hot. Beyond that, we weren't happy with the stay, though it was a cheap option for a three-day weekend. At check-in, Cheyenne and another staff member seemed rude. They didn't communicate well or tell us our room number. They said to look on the key and that it was to the right, but it was actually to the left. I'm not sure why it was so hard to tell us the room number. We weren't told breakfast wasn't complimentary until day 2, after we'd already eaten. Two workers crowded us when we questioned it and made a scene, so people in the dining room were staring. It was embarrassing. They acted like we were unreasonable for thinking hotel breakfast was free, as it used to be at the hotels we stayed at. One worker had to fetch the small-print notice, printed on a basic sheet of computer paper. Apparently it was at the check-in desk, but hidden behind decorations and packed with long paragraphs. Front desk staff should explain the charge at check-in, and dining staff should tell guests before they sit down. Paying $12 a person for a small cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit was expensive and frustrating. We asked for the manager and were promised a resolution, but never heard back. I don't recommend staying here, given the unfriendly staff and breakfast costs.
The room was nice and clean, with a comfortable, clean bed, a huge tub, and a second bathroom that worked great for the bride and groom. We booked a king suite so there'd be space to get into our wedding clothes, and the fridge and microwave were useful. We got extra towels too. The lighting was dim, though, and the TV had nothing to watch unless we paid, with no streaming quality. We arrived around midnight to get ready and eat before the ceremony. At check-in, we tried to confirm breakfast was paid for but didn't get a clear answer. We had paid when booking, but there was still confusion in the breakfast area about what was included and what cost extra. The selection was lots of fruit, juice, breads and pastries, a few cereals, plus eggs, potatoes, and sausage links as the only main course. We ordered waffles after being given a menu and received one waffle for $11.00. They also gave us a plate of bacon, not sure why, and charged a “kids continental $6.95,” which we assumed was for the bacon. We paid and left, then the next day the charge was updated to $25.00. Overall, the room was good, but the charges and breakfast didn't make sense. They let us use the fitness bathroom to change before driving home, which was helpful. The hotel was pretty, clean, and accommodating in other ways, though the late checkout options didn't work for our situation.
