Motel 6 Drums, PA

The room was clean, and the location was really convenient. For the price, it was an acceptable place to sleep, though it definitely feels dated. There wasn’t a hair dryer or facial tissues, and the towels were thin and worn, like they’d been there for a decade. The bed wobbled, and noise carried from all around at night. It does the job for a budget stay, but there isn’t much else to expect.

The price was the best part, half of what the Motel 6 two hours away wanted, and I’m grateful for that. There’s plenty of parking, and town is just 2 miles away, with pizza places and a great market. I’d have given these kind folks 5 stars if the tub hadn’t been dirty and there hadn’t been hair on the sink and toilet. The room seemed clean otherwise, though we also found little bits of trash by the bed.

Room 201 was dirty. The AC kept showing faults and wouldn’t work, the fridge was cool but not cold, and its freezer door was broken off. There was food debris in the microwave, plus ants on the floor and bathroom wall. This room clearly shouldn’t have been rented out.

The rooms matched the website photos, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. My pets stayed for free, which matters a lot to me.
