We left without asking for a refund because we needed to get out of there fast. It was 1:30 am, our kids were tired and irritable, and my girlfriend was waiting in the car. The second room they showed us was somehow even worse than the first. Both were filthy, with stained linens that looked unwashed, grimy bathrooms with bugs, and an overpowering bad smell. The receptionist had taken almost 30 minutes to find our reservation and seemed confused and overwhelmed. We had late availability, but the rooms and service were awful, so we left as soon as we saw them. The receptionist kept insisting we inspect the rooms before deciding. You get what you pay for, and this place isn't worth your time.

This was the least fit place I've stayed in all my travels, even for a few hours of rest, and it felt like a serious health hazard. Rats and rodent droppings were in the room and across the property's grounds. The conditions were unsanitary and unsafe. The property looked nothing like its photos on Booking.com, which I found misleading and deceptive. It's an outright scam, and no one should have to stay in these conditions. I urge people to avoid it entirely. Horrible, this place should be condemned.

It took almost an hour just to get our room key. He scanned our IDs more than seven times without explaining why, and never told us what was holding things up. My one-year-old woke up in the car, and it was almost 1 am. Even after another couple arrived, we waited another ten minutes before getting one key. This is insane, and I'm from South Carolina. Get it together.

This is the cheapest hotel in Sumter, South Carolina, so you get what you pay for. I arrived at night, tired, and the man at the window was sweet and patient and worked with me. He hooked me up. Thanks, Calvin.
