Baymont by Wyndham Susanville

The owner let me in for breakfast herself after I slept in and missed the serving time by a few minutes. She didn’t have to do that, and it was really kind. The staff were lovely throughout, the remodeled rooms looked great, and the continental breakfast was surprisingly good for a cheap motel. I’d stay here again anytime.

The bed was super comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a step up from what you usually get at places like this, with good fruit and breads, plus quality tea, coffee, and yogurt choices. I’d come back.

It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean, updated, quiet, and pet-friendly, which was exactly what I needed. The laminate floors were easy to clean after animal visitors. Finding somewhere for the dog to potty was harder. The street behind the hotel had strips of grass and dirt with broken glass, so we made do. I’ll definitely stay again, and a friend is there now because I recommended it.

I’m through Susanville often with my pup, so motel choices are limited. I’ve tried them all, and The Baymont was easily the best. The rooms are nicely redone, quiet, well appointed, and have very good beds. Staff and management were great, and the continental breakfast was better than average. I strongly recommend it if you’re traveling in the area.
