Courtyard Miami at Dolphin Mall

Shopping was easy since the hotel is right beside Dolphin Mall, close enough to walk over without arranging transportation. The rooms were clean, well kept, and spacious enough to relax in after a long day. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I felt welcomed when I arrived, and the recognition and smooth check-in gave the stay a good start. A comfortable choice if you want to be near the mall.

The front desk staff were amazing, and the room was clean with a decent-sized TV. But the hotel didn’t come close to my expectations, even if it wasn’t terrible. For a place charging what it does, they could at least have put out bagels, since breakfast isn’t complimentary. The pool could also be nicer, especially given that “Courtyard” is in the name. And it’s in the mall parking lot, well away from the mall itself, not inside it. They tried to charge my card at 2am, which my bank flagged as fraud.

The elevators are really slow and dated, and definitely need attention. The bathrooms could use an update too, though they weren’t a problem for me. The rest of the hotel was fantastic, especially the staff, who were incredibly helpful and kind, probably the best hotel team I’ve encountered. There’s plenty of parking, and the location is perfect for shopping at Dolphin Mall. We stayed three nights, and I’d definitely book here again if I return to the Miami area.

Katherine made check-in the best I’ve had in the area. She greeted me with a genuine smile and was warm and welcoming. Her professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail made the whole arrival smooth and comfortable. She went out of her way to help, and her service set a great tone for the stay.
