Breakfast here is free with the room, and it’s real food, not carton eggs or meals microwaved from boxes like at most hotels. The rooms are very clean, and the housekeeping staff work hard to keep the place welcoming. I haven’t met the owner, but staff talk about them like family, which makes them sound like great people. I’ve rarely seen so many smiling faces at work, especially among the housekeepers doing a tough job that hotels often underpay. It feels completely like home, and I like having REAL FOOD!

I love you, Ranch House of Sweetwater, TX! ❤️❤️❤️ The people here are all such sweethearts, and my heart goes out to them. During the few days I was here visiting my old man, the staff made my days. The rooms are so clean you could practically eat off the floor. I tried to tip Kat, who works in housekeeping, $20, but she said she was just doing her job and told me to keep it since traveling is expensive. That nearly broke my heart. This place and these people are amazing. I don’t see how it isn’t a four-star hotel or better!

The room was really spacious, with a king bed. I had my two German Shepherds with me, and there was lots of grassy space behind the hotel where they could roam.

The front desk team was super kind, and the maintenance technician came out to help when the toilet clogged. I hope the place can keep going until it’s able to run properly, because it needs deep cleaning and some TLC. It didn’t look like what was advertised online. I booked two nights but left after one. I would’ve checked out that first night, honestly, but it was late and I was tired. The pool was out of service, and the floors were so dirty I had to wash my feet.
