Hotel Murano

The place feels more like a modern art museum or convention center, and it’s clean, roomy, and comfortable. There’s a private lot with easy access in and out, though it costs a lot to park there. You can find plenty of street parking within a block, so that’s another option.

The art all through the hotel is gorgeous, the restaurant food was delicious, and the service was EXCELLENT. I loved the views, gym, and spa too, and this was my second visit. I’d give it five stars, but some rooms show a lot of wear. We had a discounted room, to be fair, and it smelled musty and dusty at first until we opened the windows. With just table lamps, it also got dark when there wasn’t sunlight. The furniture and bathroom looked worn, but everything was VERY clean.

There’s glass art throughout the hotel, on every floor, that makes the place feel so unique. We loved the large rooms and the food was great, too. It’s also close to everything in downtown Tacoma.

I was assigned this hotel for a tournament, and it was okay. The room had a nice view and wasn’t too noisy, though the outside looked a bit worn. Parking costs extra, and when I returned one night, an event at the hotel had left almost no spaces. Maybe they’re able to sell more spots than they have. I did find one eventually, but arriving back at 10:00 pm after paying for parking and having nowhere to go if the lot were full would’ve been pretty lame.
