I worked nights, and when I came back, the room had been tidied better than I'd left it, with the floor mopped and the bed made. The place was very clean and felt safe, and the owners were helpful and respectful. A laundrymat for guests would be nice, but otherwise it was a nice stay. If I work in taft again, this would be my preferred place. Thanks for your hospitality, David & Millie.

We paid $60 after tax and got a very clean room, a great shower, and an awesome AC unit. We only wanted somewhere to sleep with air conditioning and no bed bugs, but for this price it's amazing, and I'd happily spend the extra money to stay here again. The staff were really nice too. Definitely coming back!

The family who owns this place are wonderful and accommodating. They work around cleaning my room when I'm on the graveyard shift, and if you let them know, they can find you a room that suits night work. My room is clean and a decent size, with daily bed making and cleaning. I travel to Taft for work a few times a year and look forward to staying here. My five stars are for the price, location, and service. There's good food and a good dive bar within walking distance.

It's in a great spot, close to most businesses, but the owners are very rude. If you're local, good luck getting a room. They'll say there's no vacancy even when there are absolutely no cars there. If they do rent to you, they want a cash deposit on top of the room rate, plus a cash key deposit.

I had a quiet night and slept right through. The room was very clean, the shower was great, and the price was the best in town. Downtown, food, and the local watering hole are all very close. There were plenty of outlets for my electronics. The bed was okay for a night, not amazing. Bathroom hooks for pants, shirts, or towels would be a helpful touch.
