Edgelake Beach Club

The hotel is right by the beach and a convenient distance from Palisades, and we plan to come back. It's quiet at night, which really helps me sleep. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, with stainless steel and plastic utensils. A few wooden tools would make it even better. The high ceiling in the living room gives the space an open feel and makes it cozy. The shower and bathtub could use improvement. The grip tape is a bit dirty and hard to clean.

A tucked-away spot right on the lake, with a local, homey feel instead of a corporate one. The staff are welcoming. Rooms don't come with shampoo, so bring your own.

We stayed for a week and loved it. Our second-floor room overlooked the lake, and nobody had to walk past it. The pier was nice, and the rec room and boats were fun. The room was well kept and had coffee, cooking gear, plenty of towels, and heaters that got nice and hot in the evening. It's close to gas stations, Safeway is a two-minute walk away, and there are lots of shops and several parks along the beachfront. Our coffee pot was broken when we arrived, but they brought a new one within an hour. Housekeeping was very good too. When we can take another vacation, I want to come back. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

The property sits right on the lake, with a soft sand beach less than 50 steps away and a long pier with an elevated seating area. That's the best part, and we've had a great experience here in every month of the year. We return for a week most years. The staff are welcoming and responsive, and the one- and two-bedroom units feel homey and are well equipped. Kitchen and bathroom amenities are sufficient. Very few units are alike.
