The neighborhood on the way to the Metro had lots of character, with unique restaurants and shops along the street. Red line was under a 10-minute walk away, and DC was only minutes from this reasonably priced place. We had a clean, decent-sized room with a private bathroom and mini-fridge, which suited us well. The B&B was really quiet, and the front desk and management were efficient: they checked us in and kept the coffee and beverage area stocked, then we hardly saw them. What a find, we'd stay again!

The location is nice, and we'd like to return if these things were improved. This time the fridge didn't work, there was a dead bug in a drawer, and the room charge came out of my account the day after booking. There was a movable clothes rack, and the sink sat outside the little closet-like area with the toilet and shower. We weren't told before booking that the hot B&B breakfast we'd had on a previous visit wouldn't be offered. This time it was just coffee, hot water for tea, and granola bars. Before, we'd had a private bathroom outside the bedroom and a nice hot breakfast, so we expected the same service.

Being less than half a mile from the DC metro made it easy to get to the National Museum of African American History without driving or dealing with parking. There are also several shops and restaurants a short walk away. Our room at Eden Park Guest House was very clean, and Etty, the owner, was pleasant and happy to answer my questions about the house and area. We had a nice chat about her travels and mine. We were very satisfied and would stay again.

Restaurants, stores, and a CVS are all within walking distance, and the community felt friendly and welcoming. It took us eight minutes to walk from the metro. We were greeted warmly, had a clean, tidy room, and breakfast was fresh and delicious in a cozy, home dining-room kind of setting. I felt safe there and would definitely stay again next time I'm in town. Five stars!
