Chinook Wind Cabins

We were just steps from downtown Talkeetna, and this little cabin was easily our best stay in Alaska. It was modern, spotless, and decorated just right. The linens and water pressure were good, and it was so comfortable. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We barely had to handle our luggage. We put it on the porch for pickup, and the owners collected us from the depot and brought us back there after letting us check out late. One person in our group needed a cane, so Mike drove us to dinner and even lent us his van on the day we had free. The cabin was clean and lovely, with the best beds and towels. August, their son, was such a treat, and the owners went out of their way to help us throughout the stay.

All six cabins our group rented were great. The owners did so much to accommodate us, too. We stayed two nights in mid-March, and these were the coziest, cleanest cabins. There was a coffee maker and coffee, a microwave, refrigerator, and quality towels. They were well stocked, and the beds were so comfy we didn't want to leave.

We only had one night here and wished we'd stayed longer. The cabin was beautiful and incredibly clean, with so much care put into the details. You can tell they want guests to be comfortable. It's also an easy walk into town.
