The staff made this a great experience, especially Margaret, who was so kind and welcoming. The room was a total dump, but it was safe and quiet, and it worked fine for crashing after a long day in the sun. It’s away from the high crime areas downtown, close to the race track, and just minutes from all the amenities. I would stay here again. Good people can make the experience, and that’s what happened for us.

My friend had been staying here, and it started out really well. Margaret offered her a job, but my friend turned it down. After that, Margaret got petty and several times wouldn’t let her and her family stay even though they’d paid on the app. Margaret seemed not to know about the app, despite having worked there for years. I told my friend not to give them more money, but she went back because she needed somewhere to stay at the time, so I understand. I’m writing this because when my friend returned, her significant other got the room for them. He couldn’t get in because it needed a password. When he went down to get it, he also told Margaret the doorknob was loose and suggested she check it, since she didn’t believe him. She refused to move them to another room. He then reported that the internet wasn’t working, and she said he could leave and she’d refund him. He said it was okay and let it go, but Margaret called the police and sent them to the room to kick him out. Seven police officers blocked him in, all over a loose doorknob and wifi, which is advertised. The doorknob was a safety concern. There are dead bodies being found in Talladega and shootings, yet she called seven officers on one man who was reporting a loose doorknob. That’s sad, and you lack human compassion, Margaret. I think it’s time to retire and bring in someone better to represent the company. I will never stay here. You already have enough bad reviews, let Margaret rack up some more. It was all because my friend turned down her job offer. I wouldn’t work for you either, Margaret. Hope you have a blessed day, but do better. Adding to this, Margaret deleted my friend’s comment and blacklisted her. My friend is going through a rough time, and Margaret put them out because she wouldn’t take a job and they reported a broken door. My friend has picture proof. They weren’t even rude to her. Now her family has nowhere to go because they were blacklisted, and they have to wait for a refund they may not even get. The police were falsely called, and they were falsely blacklisted for no good reason. Margaret also had the police check the car. She will be reported for making a false claim to the police. This experience raises concerns about customer service, communication, and how guest problems are handled. Guests should feel safe reporting maintenance issues and expect reasonable efforts to address them. I hope management carefully reviews what happened and takes appropriate steps to treat all guests fairly and professionally in the future.

There were no improvements after I asked many times to have the stovetop and microwave repaired. There was no desk or chair for computer research, and the outlets by the heater and lamps had no covers. The outlet by the lamps was so loose that the lamp hardly worked right. The overhead lights were too bright, a super white kind of brightness. Renting by the month is the only positive thing I can say. It’s quiet, but there was a lot of traffic so getting out of the motel took a while. There were very few cars and people around. Maybe that was because it was cold in January and February, or maybe nobody wants to stay here. 02.07.2026. February 7, 2026.

They told me there was no booking, even though I had their confirmation email, so I didn’t end up staying. The room they offered was a lot more expensive than what I had booked. I never saw the rooms, but the outside wasn’t as impressive as the pictures.
