Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Northwest

Breakfast was just okay, and the coffee at every Marriott tastes like bitter sludge. Parking seemed to be shared with the golf course, though it wasn't an issue for me. The staff were nice and the property fairly clean. The room looked clean on the surface, but there was enough caked-on grime that a proper clean would take some elbow grease. The bed was comfortable enough, though I could feel the indentation where most people sleep. The mini fridge kept my things cold for the few days I was there, and the couch was comfy. The TVs worked perfectly, but I could hear every conversation through my connecting-room door. A really good hotel, about 4.5 stars for its level.

The pool wasn't heated, so it was useless in January. They said it was open from sunrise to sunset, though I thought it stayed open until 8pm. The employees seemed nice, and breakfast was decent. The shower was okay but leaked, and the bed and pillows weren't comfortable. Ehhh, could've been better.

When we arrived in Fort Lauderdale at 11pm on New Year's Eve, the Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale at Cypress Creek told us they were overbooked. Their staff offered no help and told us to "figure it out" with Hotel Tonight. The place smelled strongly of marijuana and the hospitality was awful. We really dodged a bullet by ending up at the Fairfield by Marriott. Admarie was kind, hospitable, and incredibly helpful. She worked with us and the Hotel Tonight representative to find us somewhere to stay, and gave us the best service we'd had since landing. The room was spotlessly clean and fresh smelling, and the beds were extremely comfortable after our long, exhausting trip. They also have a great complimentary breakfast. Admarie turned a stressful situation into a great stay. I'd recommend this clean, professional, welcoming hotel to anyone booking in Fort Lauderdale.

The vacation kept turning into a nightmare, but the best part of our trip was staying at Fairfield and seeing Ms. Patricia while she was working. If we return to Ft. Lauderdale, this is the only place we'll stay. Thank you to the whole staff, and especially Patricia. We hope to see you again, Frean. My family and I flew in for a mini vacation, but first our rental car was cancelled and we had to scramble for another one. Then we learned the hotel we'd originally booked catered to illegal activities, so we drove around desperately looking for somewhere decent. We pulled into Fairfield at 7pm, tired after traveling since 3am and not expecting much. Ms. Patricia was busy helping other guests, but welcomed us, made sure someone showed us a room, and explained it was the last one available and might not be available for our full stay. The gentleman who showed us around was welcoming too, and even offered extra blankets, sheets, and towels before we'd rented the room. The spacious, clean room with a lovely view of the pool and golf course immediately put us at ease. We told Ms. Patricia we'd take it, and she worked her magic to arrange the full stay at a great rate with breakfast included. The hotel was always clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast was simple: oatmeal, waffles on weekends, sausage, eggs, toast, bagels, cereal, yogurt, juice, and hot coffee always available. We enjoyed it. Thank you, Ms. Patricia.
