Hyde Park Hotel

The room was compact but made good use of its space. It was spotless, with no bugs or mildew smell, which I often find with whirlpool suites. The whirlpool tub was great and the water got super hot. The open stand-up shower was a nice addition too. The contactless hotel is in a great spot in Hyde Park, within walking distance of lots of food and drinks. Tampa is there too if you’re up for a slightly longer walk. Check out this little place next time you’re in town.

Kia was friendly, helpful, and efficient as a customer service associate and booking agent. The place is cute, quaint, comfy, and cozy, especially the rooms with updated, remodeled bathrooms.

I went to an event at the convention center, and it was an easy two-mile walk. Aldi is right around the corner, too. I love the location. It’s a self-service hotel with no front desk.

I was there for over a month and changed rooms when needed, since guests come back and ask for “their room.” Every room I stayed in was exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillow choices, and the fridge was cold. I didn’t cook because there were so many great places to eat within walking distance through nice neighborhoods. The housekeeper was an interesting, funny person from another galaxy, from Rodchester, NY. She was quick and thorough, and best of all, stayed out of my stuff. I know how to check! The place was quiet, even though it was nearly full every night, and I barely heard anything. I work for FEMA and stay in lots of hotels, and this one was a delight. If I lived on Davis Island, Bay Shore, or anywhere nearby and had family, friends, or a wedding party visiting, I’d put them here without hesitation. Maybe not without a reservation, though, since you’ll need one. The owner isn’t my friend and didn’t ask for this recommendation. It’s just a great place.
