Quality Inn and Conference Center Tampa-Brandon

After my stay, the hotel accused me of stealing towels, which is completely untrue and really insulting. They blamed me and charged my card without proper verification, investigating, or even speaking respectfully. Being accused of something I didn’t do was humiliating and upsetting. It felt like charging guests mattered more to them than customer service. I wouldn’t stay again, and I’d caution others. If they make a false accusation against one guest, they could do it to anyone. I can’t reply to your message, so I’m adding this here. After I had to call twice, you said you’d refund the $30 because I told you what you were doing was illegal. The towels were left in that room, so whoever took them must have had access to it. Enough with the lies. I’m not wasting more time on this. Be more professional. Also, people are smoking illegal substances right under your surveillance cameras. Instead of lying about cheap, stained towels nobody would want to take home, you should pay attention to more important things.

The only thing I liked was that there wasn’t carpet on the floor. You can tell they’ve updated a very old hotel, but to me it just feels like a cover-up. We paid nearly $500 for two nights, and I was very disappointed. I won’t come back. The beds were springy and squeaked just from lying down. The granite sink counter was cracked in several places and seemed to slope down. The shower was awful: the water kept changing from hot to ice cold, and my husband got no hot water at all on Saturday morning. It was only a tiny stream with no pressure, and the tub floor was slippery. Four of us shared the room, but there were only two towels. Asking didn’t help. I asked the desk guy for a pillow Friday night; he said he was alone and would bring it after checking in the next guest. Hours passed and it never came. I called from the room and was told it was on the way, but it still never showed. We were told the pool bar was permanently closed and that we could get drinks at the attached restaurant. We felt very out of place there, since everyone was dressed up and we’d just driven three hours. Two drinks cost almost $40. They were strong, which might be a deal for some, but to me they tasted like straight rubbing alcohol. Breakfast is free, but there was no milk first thing Saturday. The waffle makers were hit or miss, and the waffles came out doughy and half cooked. They had plain bagels, cereal, apples, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, grits, and waffles. In the morning the poor front desk woman didn’t want me using the ladies’ restroom in the lobby. Restaurant customers use it all night and housekeeping doesn’t clean it until later in the morning. She stopped me at the door. With it open, the place smelled like someone had pooped on the floor, so she sent me to the restroom by the pool.

The late-night front desk staff were friendly, and I liked the neat, nicely lit atmosphere after dark, even though I didn’t get any night photos. We had poolside room 138. I wish the weather had been warmer so the pool heater could be on, and I’d had more time to see the nighttime pool vibe and try the Latin restaurant. Some things weren’t perfect, but it was a very nice stay. I’d stay here again if I’m in town 😉😊.

At the Quality Inn & Conference in Tampa/Brandon, the team handled every small issue quickly and went out of their way to help. That made the stay comfortable and stress-free, and I’m looking forward to returning. The service was amazing, with friendly, welcoming staff always ready to assist. Housekeeping deserves credit too, they pay close attention to detail. Highly recommend!
