We came across this unique little hotel on our way home. It's undergoing some renovations, but our room was great, with comfortable beds, a sitting area with a pull-out couch, a dining table, and a TV there plus another in the bedroom. Rose at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast wasn't offered at the hotel, though there was a reasonably priced place next door. It's close to lots of interesting sights.

The room was easy to locate, clean, and had what we needed, and the spot was convenient for restaurants, shops, and the plaza. Sagebrush Inn & Suites worked well for us, especially on a budget. We saved around $400 and could put that toward more things to do on the trip. The front office assistant was kind and helpful, with good suggestions for places to eat and visit. It was a comfortable stay.

It was an okay stay, and the grounds and staff were okay too. Maybe this place was great back in its Route 66 heyday, but it hasn't been updated since. Our room felt tired and very old. The bed looked clean and was reasonably comfortable, but the floor and curtains were gross, and the furniture was worn and stained. It was dark and depressing in there. The rooms badly need updating, with some modern touches and better lighting.

I brought my mom to Taos and we stayed at my favorite, the Sagebrush Inn. Its history and authentic feel always win me over, and the history makes staying in the rooms fun. Georgia O'Keeffe and R.C. Gorman loved this place, after all. The food was good, and the bar's live music was wonderful, especially Jeremiah Glauser. That man knows how to entertain! Thanks to the Sagebrush staff.

The place looked really nice from a historical perspective, but the rooms were another matter. We had four King Courtyard rooms, and only one of them had a microwave. Mine stopped working halfway through heating my TV dinner after a long drive, so I couldn't finish cooking it. We also had no water pressure, and the rooms didn't look like they did online. Really disappointing and a bad experience.
