The location near the wineries was convenient, and the bed sheets, including the ones for the couch, were clean. The fridge was fairly clean, though it could have used another pass, and the Tesla wall chargers were a nice feature. The rest of the stay was a mess. The hotel smelled awful when we arrived, the hall carpets were dirty and unvacuumed, and our room had a mildew smell coming from its window AC unit. There’s no central heating or cooling, and the windows don’t open for fresh air. The stained sofa and sticky desk needed attention, and I had to clean the desk myself with supplies I brought. The elevator buttons looked dirty. There was no hand soap anywhere in the room, just a used bottle of dish soap filled about a third of the way. I don’t understand why hotels keep putting in carpet when it stains so easily; laminate or vinyl would look cleaner. The people above us stomped and made noise all night, and the place just didn’t feel welcoming, especially for a fairly new hotel. On day two, with our two small children, we discovered there was no hot water. We had to move two floors up to another room in the middle of our stay, and the whole process took two hours. Both the staff and front desk knew about the problem, but we still haven’t heard from management. We lost sleep, I had to clean the first room, and my daughter had influenza B and couldn’t shower. I’m demanding a full refund. Being told they would have handled it if they’d known doesn’t excuse the lack of attention to detail, especially for a hotel with “home” in its name that should feel like home. I was going to give two stars, but now it’s one. Don’t trust the third-party sites rating it above 8. Breakfast was cheap microwaved food, the coffee was terrible, and neither was worth it. This has been a sad experience. I plan to follow up in the morning and report the hotel to the business bureau.

Breakfast was disappointing, and the room felt dingy, old, and unclean, with stains on both the carpet and couch. The bathroom lights kept shutting off while I was getting ready. I’ve had good stays at other Hilton Home 2 Suites, but this one was a letdown. I stayed two nights and wouldn’t recommend it or come back.

I’ve stayed here several times and would have returned, but after needing to cancel, I got nowhere. I called two weeks ahead and had to try four or five times, only to be told the general manager was too busy to speak with me. The property seemed inflexible and uninterested in keeping a loyal customer, and the runaround was frustrating. I judge a company by how it treats people when something goes wrong. I’ll stay with one of its competitors next time I’m in Murrieta or Temecula. If you’re looking for a place in either area, look elsewhere.

The best things here are the location and the Tesla EV destination charging. Beyond that, rooms routinely have a damp, mildew smell with an odor like dirty feet, and I’ve had to ask for a different room every time I checked in. The bathroom barn doors offer very little privacy. For a $300-a-night room, it’s ridiculous that they couldn’t even give me one extra hour to check out. I’ve stayed a few times, but those room issues keep coming back.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I was bitten by ants, yet still charged for a miserable night, and the response was unacceptable. Keila was dismissive and disrespectful, saying that giving me another room made everything better. I had to move all my things at midnight, and she showed no compassion. I was still bitten, and she brushed it off as just the nature of things around here. Guests should be treated with respect, not spoken to condescendingly. I’ll be contacting corporate about this.
