Motel 6 Temecula, CA - Historic Old Town

The housekeeper and front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room, though, smelled a little mildewy, and the beds were really flat and hard. Weed odor drifted in from another room, and the upstairs guests made so much noise it sounded like Bigfoot and his family were up there. Hotels.com rated it 8.4, but I had a rough stay.

The easy check-in, good location, and 30-minute late checkout were all nice. My room wasn’t bad, though the beds could definitely use an upgrade. I’d been skeptical because I’d seen a few negative reviews, and I travel often and regularly choose Motel 6 since they’ve been upgrading a lot. In the end, I wasn’t disappointed with my stay.

We’ve stayed here several times, and every visit has gone smoothly. The rooms are always clean, the staff are glad to help with anything we need, and the location is close to everything. One of the best Motel 6s we’ve stayed at, a 10/10.

There was no fridge or microwave in the room, and housekeeping was poor and rude. I also saw roaches, and when I reported them at the desk, I was offered a room change and told they’d investigate. Pretty sure changing rooms doesn’t solve a roach problem. On the way to the office to prove I’d seen one, I spotted another dead roach. Photos are included with the review.
