My wife and I got some of the worst sleep ever. We were woken up several times during the night, and on the first floor you could hear everything through the terrible soundproofing: heavy footsteps, doors opening and closing, even plumbing in the walls. At 4 AM, a group stood right outside our door having a loud conversation. Maybe we just got the worst room, but don’t stay here expecting a quiet rest.

The property looked dated and nothing like the photos. For $290, it felt like highway robbery, more like a Motel 6 than somewhere that should be called a Marriott. The highway is right there, with lots of traffic noise. I arrived early and knew my room might not be ready. They checked me in and said they’d call when it was ready, but never did. When I came back at 5:15 PM, past the 4 PM check-in time, they said I’d never checked in and still had no room ready. They eventually “found” me one, but its AC didn’t work and sounded like a small plane landing when switched on. There were no towels by the pool, and it was crowded with lots of unsupervised kids. Save yourself and don’t stay here.

The hotel and breakfast were clean and as good as expected, just standard, nothing special. I hadn’t encountered this before at a Marriott: they wanted to charge extra for early check-in even though rooms were available. Maybe that’s their policy.

The hotel’s message is nice, but apparently quieter rooms aren’t always available. In this room the highway noise kept me awake all night, even with earplugs, a loud white noise app, and a pillow over my head. It sounded like I was lying in the middle of a highway. If you actually want to sleep, I’d look elsewhere.
