Pechanga Resort Casino

The pool and its service were both really good, and there were plenty of solid restaurants to pick from. The casino floor was large and clean, with nice dealers and enough gambling choices that you could move on from a losing table. Table service was decent too. We had a great time, even though we hadn’t expected to.

The decor was nice, the food quite decent, the service exceptional, and there was plenty of parking. But it’s all video gambling, even the roulette wheel, with robotic bartenders here and there. On Valentine’s Day I saw lots of sad-looking gambling addicts feeding video slots for digital tokens instead of money. Barf. Who’d trust a video roulette wheel? This place clearly makes a lot of money. If you want to gamble, stay home and buy stocks.

The room was ordinary casino hotel fare, with a little dust and disappointing sheets. I left my packing cubes on the dresser in the closet all weekend, and at checkout on Sunday, June 14, 2026, they and the dresser smelled unmistakably of human urine. My clothes were dry, but the smell was awful. My fiancé smelled the dresser too and gagged. We can only guess that a previous guest urinated in the closet and it wasn’t cleaned properly. I reported it at the front desk at 8:45 that morning. The attendants were sympathetic and went to look for a manager, but after 5-10 minutes I had to leave for my 12:20 flight from ONT, with a stop at Target to buy clothes for the trip home to Austin, TX. They took my number and email, gave me Guest Services Manager Nathan Vicente’s card, and said they’d follow up. I asked specifically for email because I’d be traveling all day. There was no call or email afterward. At 5:59pm PT I called the card number, but the manager on duty had left at 5. By 12:50pm Monday, June 15, I still hadn’t heard anything, so I called at 12:59pm. New Guest Services Manager Jessie Matteson said it was a Housekeeping matter and would escalate it. She followed through quickly, and Housekeeping Manager Christina Reyes called at 1:44pm. I expected a resolution, but Christina said she had inspected the room, found everything fine, and Pechanga wouldn’t do anything for me. She said the room had first been checked at 9:53am on June 14, about an hour after my complaint. I found that hard to believe. After two calls and a third callback just to hear a flat denial, I told her I thought she was being dishonest. Not my finest moment, but I didn’t know what else to say. I only asked for a one-night refund. Instead, I was refused and left feeling like they didn’t believe what happened. I won’t stay here again. Check your room for smells if you do.

I was here as a guest for a graduation, and what little I got to see made a strong impression. The casino looked beautiful and elegant, with marble floors and water features. I explored as far as the food court, which had plenty of choices, and noticed some nice restaurants too. I hope to return for some rest and relaxation. Have a blessed day.
