My earlier stay was pleasant for the price, and the hotel felt new and clean, with useful basics like laundry, a pool, and a gym. The staff were fine but not especially friendly. In the evening they seemed as if I was interrupting their nap or whatever show they were watching. The area has bars, cheaper motels, and some riff raff nearby. I heard yelling outside, though nothing too worrying. It’s very noisy at all hours if your room faces the 15 freeway, so light sleepers should try for a second floor room. The wood floors also mean the guests above you can be insanely loud if you’re downstairs. On my latest stays I had two terrible nights of sleep, and one was entirely the staff’s fault. The first night I was sleeping in after working until 5am when housekeeping banged on my door for about 10 seconds, despite my Do Not Disturb sign. I yelled that I didn’t need service and was really shaken up. Then the front desk called to ask if they could come in, and I said no. I couldn’t get back to sleep, and it ruined my day. Apparently the fire department didn’t want to come back for an inspection after already being there. That wasn’t my problem, and it should have been arranged after checkout. I’m concerned they might have entered without permission if I’d been out, even with the sign on the door. That evening, guests upstairs were extremely loud. I woke up repeatedly to banging, stomping, and bags rolling over the hard floor. I slept until 15 minutes before checkout and had to rush out, without breakfast, just trying to get whatever sleep I could. I was visiting family and here for business, and got a better nap on my aunt’s couch after dinner. I mentioned the problems politely to the front desk because I’m easygoing and not a harsh critic. She gave me a generic sorry and said she’d tell management, but offered nothing in return. Given this experience, I’d say don’t stay here just to save money if you can afford somewhere else.

The pillows were excellent, the room was clean, and it stayed pretty quiet despite being near busy roads. We didn’t hear other guests. We stayed two nights with two adults and two kids in a double queen room and were comfortable. The bed is on the firm side, so it should suit you if you like that. The shower pressure was good and the products smelled nice, though the water could have been hotter. The tub drained slowly, and worse on the second day. The fitness room was a nice perk and I got a decent workout. The main front desk lady was nice too. Breakfast was okay for the kids, with cereal, yogurt, waffles, toast, and individually wrapped pastries. There weren’t real protein options, so the adults waited to eat elsewhere. I’d like to see the fitness room open at 5am, since there are no free weights or anything noisy. The laundry was coin operated, which is inconvenient when few people carry $7 in quarters; card readers or Apple Pay would help. The drain needs snaking too. It was a decent stay for the price, but with so many choices nearer Old Town, I’d probably try somewhere else next time.

The room was so clean, with no damage or leaks, and I had no issues during my stay. The customer service was helpful and great. Thanks so much, I’ll come back next time.

The rooms were clean and the staff friendly, but breakfast was disappointing. It was frozen waffles for the toaster, overprocessed danishes, and apples and bananas that seemed a day old.

Really liked the place. The room was nice and clean, though the bed wasn’t very comfortable.
