Rodeway Inn in Temple

The rooms were clean and roomy, and had a decent-sized TV, a nice table that expanded to double size, and working AC. But roaches were pretty common. My brother had barely dropped food on the floor before I went to pick it up and found one on it. The desk staff were rude twice, badly enough that I had to tell the man not to be so rude. The woman who checked me in was curt and abrupt too. Only one person we saw on the last afternoon was friendly. When we extended our stay, nobody asked whether we wanted the room cleaned, fresh towels, or more coffee pods.

The halls were always noisy and rowdy, and the whole property smelled bad during renovations. In our supposedly non-smoking room, there were cigarette holes in the sheets. They shut off the water at 11 a.m. without warning; it was off for half an hour when it came back, and it never got hot. The hairdryer didn't work, and the toilet kept running.

Josh helped me out at the front desk when I arrived in town in the middle of the night with my two kids. We felt safe, the parking was good and quiet, and the rooms were clean with no bugs. The AC was cold, which was a plus. There's a continental breakfast with waffles, coffee, cereal, and more. It's right off the highway, so getting back on the road was quick. Thanks again to Josh!

The room was dirty, run-down, and smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. I have a one-month-old baby. There were roaches, a dirty rag on the table, a dirty hand towel on the floor, and the bed hadn't been made. When I asked for a refund, the owner yelled at me and only gave half back. I wouldn't go there, especially with a baby or child.
