La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Port Orange / Daytona

I still have a few days left, but I’ve had a great stay so far. The hotel is older, yet very clean, and every staff member I’ve met has been friendly and helpful. My room was stocked with clean towels, and the refrigerator and microwave have been useful. The bed linens are nice, cool, and comfortable. The nightly rate is very affordable too. I visit Port Orange twice a year, and this is going to be my go-to hotel. AAA+++

Right off the interstate in a nice area, with lots of restaurants nearby, this hotel was a great place to stop on our way farther south. We had an awesome suite that was clean and stocked with plenty of linens. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, from the front desk through housekeeping. We’ll definitely keep it on our list.

I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn in Port Orange, Florida. The staff were very helpful and kind, but several rooms seemed to have an ongoing A/C fan problem. The fan wouldn’t switch off, so depending on the temperature setting, the room was either too hot or too cold. That was frustrating when all we needed was a good night’s rest before the next day. I asked maintenance to fix it, but nothing changed after two days. My company paid for the stay, and I told them not to use this hotel for clients. They could lose a sale over this. I wouldn’t stay there again until the owner looks into the problem.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast had lots of choices, including eggs, potatoes, bacon, and waffles. But I chose this hotel partly because laundry was listed as available, and the facilities were out of order. The worst part was the metal lip by the bathroom. I hit my toe on it, and it swelled and turned purple. I told the front desk, and she said she’d let the manager know. My toe still hurts when I put on a shoe. The AC/heat also wouldn’t shut off and kept blowing air. When I mentioned it, the front desk said, “yeah, that’s been an issue with some rooms.”
