Cabins At Crooked River Ranch

We came up from Boise and were really happy with our stay. The newer, modern room was cozy and cute, with a fantastic view. Such a nice spot if you want to get away from the crowds.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but the effort here deserved a mention. The price was very affordable, and the cabin was lovely, clean, and thoughtfully set up. I appreciated the comfortable mattress and beautiful linens, plus the refrigerator, microwave, coffee beans to grind, tea selection, and nice mugs. There’s a shower and bathroom right in the cabin, too. Best of all was the peaceful, quiet location and the little touches that made the stay feel special. Thanks for a wonderful visit :)

This was easily the worst room I’ve stayed in, and we felt misled about what we’d booked. We’d never return at any price. This review is about the two-person stand-alone cabin #1. Cabins #2-4 look to be the same setup. The cabin was shockingly small, and the industrial cleaner smell was overpowering when we arrived. The toilet is in the bedroom, separated only by a sliding closet door with no wall above it. There’s no privacy or buffer from your travel partner. There’s nowhere to unpack except on the bed or loveseat, no bedside tables in the tiny room, and the person sleeping on the far side has to climb over the other person to get out of bed. There’s also nowhere to hang clothes. The refrigerator smelled like rotten meat, and we found a dead moth in the first drinking cup we took from the cupboard, so we didn’t dare use the dishes. The bathroom sink, which is in the bedroom, is where you’re meant to wash them. The towels were tiny and paper thin, and the dish sponge was only half a sponge. Coffee meant grinding what looked like ancient beans from a mason jar, heating water, then pouring it through a filter into a cup. Very convenient. The in-wall HVAC was as loud as a train, so sleeping with it on seemed impossible. The whole place felt cheap. You may want to think twice before staying here. Consider yourself warned.

The property in the crooked river ranch area is beautiful, and the cabin was very clean. Ours was small, but just right for what we needed. They welcome pets, which is a nice bonus. There’s also a pool if you visit at the right time of year.
