The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and I slept well thanks to the careful upkeep. The price felt fair for the standard of the place, and I’d gladly recommend it and come back. From the bright, tidy lobby to the smooth arrival, everything felt calm and well managed. The staff were genuinely warm while staying professional, and the whole hotel felt clean and cared for.

The staff are great, and the rooms are comfortable. The whole hotel has been refreshed with new floors, paint, bed frames, mattresses, fixtures, and bigger TVs. The rooms look much brighter now, and the lobby feels more welcoming as soon as you walk in. They’re planning to work on the roof next.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. The three staff members we dealt with were excellent: Linda helped us throughout the week after checking us in, Lyndsay cleaned the bathroom and really wanted us to be happy, and Julia patiently explained the hotel procedures to my wife. The place itself is old and dated, the microwave is worn out, and we had to ask housekeeping to clean the tub. Breakfast was a joke, and they only had coffee until 9:30. Our towels came back damp and unfolded.

The nearby gas station, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Cracker Barrel were the one real convenience. They meant we could get food and gas without driving far. The rest of the stay was miserable. After a 6.5-hour drive with more than five hours still ahead, we were met by a rude older woman at the desk who kept an attitude through check-in. The hall smelled of cat litter and cigarette smoke, even though the room was advertised as smoke-free. Two employees made us wait outside our room while someone went in to take renovation photos, and we could hear them rummaging around inside. When we finally got in, the room was dirty, with stains and mold on the walls. That night, people upstairs made so much noise it sounded like soccer or tap dancing. After about two hours, my fiancee went down to report it. The same desk clerk was rude and unhelpful, asking whether we had knocked on their door ourselves, as though that were our job. She seemed more interested in sitting in the corner than helping. We were already tired and annoyed and just wanted food and a hot shower. We left disappointed in what we paid and plan to get out as early as possible, with no intention of returning.
