We only slept here for a couple of hours after arriving around midnight with our two young kids, then left early for a family matter. When we returned around 2 p.m., we found roaches by the furnace and under the bed, plus trash in the TV stand. We packed up and left right away. The man at the office admitted some rooms had roaches, but said there would be no refund and offered to show us another room. When I called Monday as he instructed, the same man now claimed to be the manager, said there was nothing to discuss, and hung up. He was rude and unprofessional. We had to pay despite not staying, and this was by far our worst hotel experience.

I travel a lot for work, and this is my favorite motel in Texarkana for the price. The rooms, beds, and showers are all really clean, the front desk is friendly, and the cleaning crew is even nicer. I lost a key and they replaced it right away, no hassle. You can walk to Walmart, CVS, around eight or more fast food places, and a smoke shop. Great stay.

I canceled and went to another hotel after finding cockroaches in the drawers of the dirty room they gave me. I'd booked one king, non-smoking, but got two full beds and a strong smell like someone had just lit a cigarette. At check-in, I had to speak through a service window instead of going into the lobby, and a $60 hold took about ten minutes to process. I put up with that because I needed a room for the night, but when I raised the problems, they told me that was the only room left. I asked if I was supposed to sleep around roaches and whatever else might be there, and they repeated that it was their only room. I won't stay at any econlodges again.

I called about a reservation I'd made online and got a very rude response from the phone operator, who said they couldn't help me. If they use third-party booking services, they need to handle the customer issues that come with them. There are other cheap hotels in texarkana that treat people right, so don't stay here.
