The staff greeted us warmly whenever we passed through the lobby. It was a nice place to stay overnight, though the rooms could have been cleaned more carefully. They looked prepared for the next guest but hadn't really been wiped down. The bathroom was fine, but it looked like paint had been used to cover mold spots. The hotel was looking bare, though that might have been because of the pandemic.

The rooms were clean and the staff were very nice. After our last Fairfield stay, which was the worst we'd ever had, we nearly didn't want to try another one. This one was pretty nice, though maybe a little pricey, and we had no other issues. Getting in and out of the parking lot wasn't easy. There was only one elevator, and it was slow. The tubs didn't have a flat spot to stand on for showering, which could concern me for an older person. The front desk was great. I felt bad for the breakfast bar lady, who was very behind and had no help.

I woke up with bite marks on my arm, and I'm convinced you can't get rid of beg bugs by just cleaning a room. Never going back. We were there only one night, from 10/23/20 to 10/24/20, while traveling to see family and staying closer to Galveston on our last day. The staff were all very nice and there was never a problem with them. The room smelled like sitting water, and every part of the carpet was wet. I wondered if it had just been cleaned, but it stayed that way all night. Later, I was up checking that my four-month-old infant was asleep and okay. For some odd reason I woke up, then went back to sleep. Reading all these reviews is sickening. Something needs to be done with this hotel. I guess it's my fault for not driving back to my family's house. The staff were fine, but the hotel needs help.

The tub stopper was faulty and wouldn't keep the water from draining while I bathed my toddler. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and the beds were good. My husband used to work in the furniture business and checks every hotel's beds for bed bugs. There was no damage, and the mattresses looked clean and new, which was a big plus. Service was excellent and check-in and checkout were easy. Breakfast was great: the usual cereal, muffin breads, fruit, and yogurt, plus waffles and eggs. The indoor pool was small but still nice, and they provide swim towels so you don't have to use the room ones. For the price and service, I highly recommend it. We'll stay again when we're down for the beach.

Our cruise was delayed, and the staff made us feel welcome. They let us check out later and were so friendly and fun while we played games in the lobby and tried to drink all their free coffee. The customer service was outstanding. The beds and pillows were comfy, and the room was clean and comfortable.
