Hyatt Place Houston / The Woodlands

Isha really made the difference for us. Our reservation through an app we regularly use had a system issue, and she was kind, patient, and professional from the start. She kept helping until she found a solution and got everything sorted out. I wish every guest could be looked after by someone like her. The Hyatt Place was also very clean, well maintained, and comfortable, beyond what we expected. We were impressed and will definitely come back. Thanks for such a good experience.

The billing trouble was the worst part of this stay. I checked out after staying on December 19th, but by January 11th my $330 incidental deposit still hadn't come back, despite being told it would be returned after a week. I was also charged daily parking fees and still hadn't been reimbursed for those. I had to involve my bank to get any movement, which shouldn't be necessary after a hotel stay. The rooms were ordinary, service was just okay, and the shower pressure was very low. For a Hyatt, I expected more, and the room didn't feel worth the price. It seemed like more effort went into the lobby than the rest of the place. I've had better service and clearer billing, with fewer problems, at Holiday Inn. For the price and brand, this was disappointing. I'd book somewhere else to avoid the hassle.

The place was clean and conveniently located, with nice decor and large, clean rooms. But I didn't sleep well: the bed was uncomfortable, and the sheets sounded like cardboard, lol. The bathroom exhaust fan wasn't very good either. Breakfast was handy, though short on flavor, and no bacon 🥲. I've stayed at other Hyatt hotels without a bad night's sleep, so I'm not sure if this bed was an issue with my room. Either way, I won't come back to check, and I'll choose a different location.

We wanted somewhere to get away from the city's rush after a day trip to Houston, which had felt too hectic. This was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay, and I'm so glad I chose it. The staff were friendly and helpful. If we head back to Houston, this will be our first choice.
