We made the Paxton our home base on the wedding day, getting ready in that adorable sunroom with its black-and-white checkered floor before taking photos on the porch and front lawn. The night before, my bridal party stayed in the main house, and Shelly made it easy by letting everyone check in early and drop off their things. It was one of my favorite wedding decisions. I’d recommend it to any bride getting married in Thomasville.

The grounds are so perfectly kept that the whole place feels like a storybook. The coffee was amazing, and the beds and sheets were lovely too. The home and cottages are beautiful, with a luxurious, step-back-in-time feel. Such a special place to stay.

Carol and her staff made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was delicious, and the immaculate cottage felt warm and homey. I also loved that the bedding wasn't down or feather, so I could wake up and breathe easily. My first bed-and-breakfast stay was more memorable than I expected. We can't wait to come back.

The food was amazing, especially the grits, and the owners and staff were great. I liked the atmosphere and surroundings too. My complaints were about the grande suite: the bathroom felt cramped, and the king bed sagged in the middle, so we hardly slept that night.

Carol was such a wonderful host and an amazing chef. The breakfast was delectable, and my husband couldn't have picked a better place for my birthday surprise. We love going to Thomasville for dinner, drinks, and shopping, and now we can't wait to come back.
