Super 8 by Wyndham Three Rivers

There’s a grocery store nearby, along with several restaurants that stay open late. For the price, the value is very high. Breakfast was quite generous, and it didn’t feel crowded for a hotel this size. My room was clean, spacious, and had no issues.

The odor was unbearable, especially in our room. We traced it to the AC unit, which smelled so bad that we had to switch it off and open the window just to stay inside. It hit us as soon as we walked in, and was overpowering when we stepped out of the elevator on the second floor. The whole hotel, from the lobby to the rooms, felt dirty and neglected. Absolutely filthy. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If zero stars were an option, that’s what I’d give.

The room smelled awful, but at least it gave us somewhere to sleep. We’d booked through booking.com for $98 and arrived just before midnight after driving in from another state, only to be told they had no reservation for us. We showed the confirmation email. They said they could cancel it and book us through their own system, then charged us $160.

The pool water was cloudy, though there’s a nice picnic area out back and several places to eat nearby. Breakfast was continental style, with waffles and toast as the only hot options. There was no meat or yogurt. The room was clean and satisfactory, with a very comfortable bed, though the bathroom was small. It seemed kind of pricey for a Super 8.
