My first stay at La Quinta Tifton, GA was in September 2025, and it was filthy and miserable, with staff who seemed not to care. I wrote to the owners, who sounded receptive and said they were renovating rooms. I didn’t see how renovations explained dirty rooms, but after they credited the room and offered to make things right next time, I decided to try again in late January 2026. The Operations manager said he’d be “happy to take care of it for me” if I gave them another chance. The second visit went much better. I got a clean, quiet room, which is what I’d asked for the first time, when I was instead put in a dirty room on the noisy main highway. I thanked them afterward and said how nice the stay had been. Then an unexpected charge of over $100 appeared on my credit card. Dishonest, misleading, and rude. I came back to show pictures of how disgusting the first room had actually been and leave the review they should’ve received then. I trusted them to act professionally, but I feel they lied to and misled me. This isn’t a revenge post.

The bed was comfortable, the hotel very clean, and it’s pet friendly. I travel with a bunch of electronics as well as two different medical appliances, and there were enough USB outlets to plug everything in without any trouble. This property is now high on my list for overnight stays in the area.

Very well maintained property, with fine service and a free hot breakfast. My room was a bit bigger than usual, with two comfortable queen beds, a desk, and a chair. There’s also a pool and exercise room.

The location made dinner easy, with many places to eat within walking distance. We found the hotel online while passing through and stopped for the night. Morgan, I believe that was her name, gave us excellent front desk service. The room was clean and comfortable, although it smelled a bit like wet dog or dirty feet. We went down for breakfast around 8:45 a.m. and nothing was being replenished, perhaps because it ends at 9:30. The food seemed to have been out a while, though it was decent, and making a fresh waffle was a nice option. The bigger problem was dogs in the breakfast area. I’m not okay with dogs where the food is, and I didn’t want one sniffing my leg while I poured cereal or its saliva and snot getting on the counters. It definitely wasn’t a service dog, which made it more frustrating. That experience alone would keep me from coming back or giving the stay five stars.

We accidentally booked this hotel instead of another one, and by the time the reminder text arrived, cancellation was no longer possible, so we stayed. The front desk woman greeted us nicely, and our reserved king room was fine. Both the room and bathroom were clean. I used the fitness room once: the treadmill worked, and there was a full set of dumbbells, another weight machine, ellipticals, water and cups, and towels in the cubbies. The area was clean. Breakfast was about what you’d find anywhere. The town was clean and very nice, and the Chicago pizza place nearby was delicious.
