Housekeeping slammed doors early in the morning, someone came to check the fire alarms, and the hallway alarms started going off randomly. The bigger problem was a high school ball team staying on our hall. They yelled, slammed doors, knocked on ours, and even called our room in the middle of the night. We called the front desk three times and were told they’d talk to the coach. They should have dealt with it after the second call, instead of making us call a third time. I was there for a conference and some rest, but got no rest or sleep. It was a three-ring circus the whole stay, and I left exhausted and very disappointed, especially as a long-standing customer. Rest and customer service clearly aren’t valued here. I’m done staying at this hotel and will find another Hilton.

An old hotel smell was noticeable, but it wasn’t bad, and there was nothing fancy about the place. Still, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it’s ideal for a one-night stop. Right off I-75, next to a Chick fil-A, Starbucks, Panera, and gas, the location is hard to beat. The price is good, and Hilton’s points charge was really fair.

I walked in without a reservation and asked for a room. They quoted $159, even though I’d seen $89 online. The front desk said the $89 rate came with extra third-party fees. I’d stayed at Spark in Lexington, Kentucky for $79 the previous night, Wednesday, through Booking, so I sat in their lobby and booked a room across the street at Country Inn and Suites for $89.

We stopped here on the drive from Michigan to Florida because we needed a clean, comfortable place where our dog could stay. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the shower hot. The pool area was nice, and there was complimentary breakfast in the morning, with bagels, muffins, juice, fruit, and hard-boiled eggs. Hot coffee and tea were available 24/7. They even had dog treats at the front desk, which was so sweet. The staff were helpful, friendly, and polite. April and another woman working with her on Friday night, November 7th, were especially kind and helpful. It was a great clean place to crash with my dog after a very long drive. We’ll be back in December. Thank you!
