Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Tigard

The rooms are very large and the beds are comfortable, but we didn’t have a pleasant stay and the value was poor. The property felt dated and neglected, with several cleaning problems, and fell short of what we expect from other Embassy Suites and hotels in this price range. Our room had pet hair everywhere. There was no daily housekeeping, fresh towels, or garbage removal unless we specifically asked. At breakfast, the made-to-order eggs were the only bright spot; the rest of the buffet was pretty poor. Most staff we met were fine, though a few seemed disinterested and a couple were really good. Nearby places can offer a cleaner room and amenities for much less, even a star lower. Or we could pay the same for more comfort elsewhere in this category. That’s what I’ll do next time.

I’m glad I chose this place. It was very clean and had a great vibe, with an elegant, eye-catching decor. The location was great, and the front desk staff looked very professional and were super nice. The bar staff were friendly and helpful too. See you next time I’m in town. Xoxoxo

The rooms are comfortable, with each one set up as a mini suite with a bedroom, guest room, and facilities. There’s a huge breakfast selection and an evening reception where you can mingle with others. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the location is great, near a big mall and close to the main road. Fully recommend it.

I’m a Diamond member with Hilton Honors and have stayed at quite a few Embassy Suits. This location is the best of them, the cleanest and best maintained property I’ve stayed at. The staff were amazing too. Cassie at the front desk was such a happy spirit and gave us extra care. The bed was too soft, so she moved us to a room with a firmer one, and we slept well thanks to her. Chris, our server in the restaurant, was amazing, kind, and shared his knowledge of the area. The other restaurant and bar staff were professional and kind as well. The restaurant food was excellent, and we’ll be back for dinner next time we arrive. On our last day, the property was getting ready for a business convention. Extra staff were waiting in the lobby to help new guests with luggage, like bellboys of old. It was nice to see that level of service.
