Sleep Inn Tinley Park I-80 near Amphitheatre-Convention Center

It felt like every footstep and conversation from other people came right through the thin walls and floor, even though I don’t think they were being loud. There was just one convenient outlet by the bed, with a single socket. The shower was stained and damaged, and there were stains on the bed covers and lampshade. The room was so hot because the AC was broken. When we first came in, I also had to turn the fridge down from max cooling because it was making a high-pitched squeal that was far too loud.

BED BUGS! I’m giving one star only because I can’t give zero. I arrived a little after 11:00 pm on October 2nd and waited in the lobby for 20 minutes without help. Someone on the balcony above was loud and on the phone, looked right over at us, then kept talking. I took my son to the bathroom, came back, and waited another five minutes with another couple before someone finally came to the desk to ask for reservations. We got a key to room 315. It was small and smelled funky. We turned everything on, checked the room, and settled in. After lying in bed, I went downstairs to print paperwork. When I came back and got under the covers, I saw a woman’s hair by my legs. Then a little clear bug with red was crawling up my shirt. I jumped up, got a tissue, and checked it. Back at the bed, I saw a bigger bug crawl out from under the pillow. I grabbed both bugs, put them in a bag from the sink cups, then put that in a cup. I packed up, took it to the front desk, and told the man I was leaving because they had bed bugs. Do not recommend!

I’m still waiting on my deposit from Nov 10th. When I called, he claimed no deposit had been taken, even though you have to pay one to get the room and it shows on my bank statement. They said the deposit was $100, but $120 was taken from me. I’m a business owner and know how this works. It’s now the 20th and I’m still waiting. I don’t recommend them. They’re stealing your money, and I’ll be taking legal action. Please be careful with these people.

The room was a nice warm place to come back to after the party at the convention center on that very cold 12/31 night. The hotel was a short drive across the street. It wasn’t as nice as I’d hoped, but we just got dressed and slept there.
