Clarion Pointe Tomah

I travel a lot for work and have stayed in hotels across many states, but this was the worst I've been in. The beds were dirty and smelled bad, the stained pillows were disgusting, and the carpet was filthy. There was dirt and hair in every corner. They serve breakfast, but it looked extremely dirty, as if it had never been cleaned. In all the days I stayed, I didn't see anyone brave enough to eat there. The front desk staff were friendly, but the hotel itself was truly disgusting. I would never stay here again.

I booked through Choice Rewards and got a confirmation, but about 48 hours later, at 9:30 pm, the hotel cancelled my room. The email gave no explanation and said I had cancelled, which I hadn't. Choice Rewards looked into it and rebooked me at the same price for two days later. While I was still waiting to hear from the hotel, Choice finally spoke with the manager, who cancelled it again, saying they planned to raise the rates for those dates. Nobody contacted me about it. Be wary of this hotel.

The bed was the firmest I've ever tried to sleep on, and it was very uncomfortable, especially with the tiny pillows. There were four little throw pillows on it; one had large blood stains and another had some other dark stain. When I asked for regular-sized pillows, they said they didn't have any. The hot tub was out of order too. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I was only here for a quick overnight while traveling, so I have no big complaints. The hotel was nice, with a beautiful pool area, and I had a decent-sized room upstairs where the air worked perfectly. The front desk staff were very friendly. The TV remote wouldn't sync, so it was useless, and there were no face towels. I didn't see breakfast, and maybe I should've asked the night before because nobody was on duty in the morning. 🤣
