DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Midtown

We had a great stay during the winter storm weekend at the end of January. The room was large and very clean, and every staff member we met was incredibly pleasant and helpful. With everything closed because of the storm, we ate at the restaurant a few times. The burger was great, and the bartender made an awesome margarita. At breakfast they made an artisan sandwich for us on a wrap and were happy to swap bacon for turkey sausage.

The rooms were clean and the customer service was great while we were there. But as we were leaving the next morning, we found several cars with smashed windows and stolen belongings. The front desk already knew about it. They hadn’t warned any guests or called the police; another guest had done that. All the staff said was, “We are not responsible for what happens in the parking lot.”

My wife and I always book a king room, and we’re never disappointed. The bed is so comfortable it makes us want to keep resting. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the interior feels safe and is well lit. There are no in-room microwaves, though we didn’t ask for one. Usually you can arrange one through the Front Desk. It’s easy to reach plenty of restaurants and the beltline to Raleigh Main or other parts of the community. A great place to stay. Be cool and be kind. Ciao!

The rooms are great, parking is free, and the staff care and are kind. This is the best Hilton in Raleigh. Getting in from 440 is awkward: the light for the turn takes forever, and you need to be in the inside lane. If breakfast were under $20, this place couldn’t be beat.
