The mountain views are gorgeous, and the pool and hot tub looked well kept even in mid-February. It was easy to find, cozy, and welcoming, with a simple modern feel. The rooms were comfortable, neat, and cared for, though a few amenities could use attention and it isn’t fancy. The front desk staff were especially helpful with our busy late-evening check-in.

I’d stayed here several times before without issues, including in mid-2025, but my February 2026 visit left me concerned. At check-in I saw an extra $50 charge and assumed it was a security deposit. It didn’t disappear after checkout, so I called the manager. He was extremely rude, said he didn’t have time to deal with me, and refused to remove it. Two days later, my card had several fraudulent charges. The credit card company caught and declined them. I hadn’t used that card in nearly two months, and the person behind the charges seemed to know both my old address and new card number. I’m not accusing the manager of involvement, but because I hadn’t used the card for a while, I had to report the hotel as my last transaction. I’m sharing this so others can protect themselves.

The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable, and it’s about a two or three minute drive to Allen Street. This is a convenient base for visiting Tombstone. Just know there’s no elevator, so we had to haul our luggage upstairs, which was inconvenient but manageable. They offer free breakfast, though we chose to drive back into Tombstone for ours.

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay while our group visited Tombstone. It’s very close to historic Boothill Cemetery and only a short drive from the activities on Allen Street. The building is old and needs care. The furniture has been painted matte brown to match, and in my daughter’s room there was brown paint on the wall behind the headboard, as if the bed had been painted in place. Our room was upstairs, and with no elevator we had to carry all our luggage. At 2:30 a.m. we woke to dripping water. The ceiling beside the bed was leaking, so we put a trash can underneath and went back to sleep. By 7 a.m. it was more than half full, with a large water bubble in the wall and the wall itself warped. That kind of damage didn’t come from the light rain overnight. At checkout we asked for a manager, but none was available. The front desk agent photographed the picture on my phone and said she’d tell management. Nobody offered a credit for the inconvenience. I attached photos of the wall, though I couldn’t upload my video. The stain where the water dripped suggests this wasn’t new. If management is overlooking something like this, I wonder what else is hidden beneath the fresh paint.
