The horseback riding was accessible even for beginners and novice riders, and it made the stay fun for everyone. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and the Old West atmosphere felt just right. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with phenomenal views and a nostalgic feel throughout the ranch. Breakfast was delicious, and the bar was a nice place to wind down. On Saturday night, a live band brought the whole place to life. Great people, great atmosphere, and a fun western getaway. I highly recommend Tombstone Monument Guest Ranch.

We stayed Monday through Thursday and weren’t ready to head home. The place feels like stepping back in time and made those childhood cowboy dreams come true. The pool and hot tub were a nice way to unwind, and our quarters were clean and comfortable. Horseback riding was our favorite. We grew up riding but haven’t done much as adults. The team leading the rides gave clear instructions, made sure everyone felt comfortable, and provided the gear we needed. The horses were well trained and friendly. Staff were amazing, relaxed but attentive, and the food was great. It was nice having meals planned so we could just show up and eat, and the food service team handled dietary restrictions well. This was one of my favorite vacations.

The room needed attention: one mattress was worn out and broken in the middle, and there was hair left in the bathroom from previous guests. Even so, we enjoyed the cowboy coffee and breakfast with Arizona Bill, and the horseback ride to Tombstone was memorable. The saloon was fun every time, with a great musician playing one evening. We enjoyed the stay overall, though the experience was mixed.

The ranch was beautiful and peaceful, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We especially loved the food, from cowboy coffee breakfasts around the fire to steak night dinner. The staff made the experience special. My daughter was very nervous about riding on her first day, but wranglers Adea and Jason were patient and kind. By the end, she didn’t want to leave and cried when saying goodbye to her horse Randy. We’d highly recommend Kyler’s historic ride and Michelle’s UTV tour of the ranch. It was an amazing visit, and we’d return in a heartbeat.

The ranch is about a five-minute drive from historic Tombstone, and the bar is a good place to hang out, with live music and a solid selection. In the morning, cowboy coffee by the campfire is a must. The bartenders, wranglers, and other staff know the area well and have plenty of stories to tell. As someone who travels a lot for horses, I can have low expectations for horse adventures. This place looks like an old western town, and the wranglers and staff were fantastic. Many guest horses are rescues in their twenties, so don’t expect a fancy mount, but they’re safe and very well cared for. My only complaint was that our room wasn’t the cleanest, and I wish I’d brought shower shoes. But you’re out in the desert, so oh well!
